IGN Previews Jedi Alliance Posted By Mike on July 23, 2008
IGN has gotten hands on with the upcoming Nintendo DS release, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance. Click here to check out their breakdown of the gameplay, characters ,mini games and more!
Check out the excerpt below:
"Your stylus will be your main weapon in the Clone Wars. Pointing anywhere on the ground will move your character there. Tapping shiny objects will allow you to interact with them. Combat is handled by furiously tapping enemies. You'll be tapping a lot in Jedi Alliance. To defeat a bad guy, first you must break through their defenses by tapping them. If you lock lightsabers you can overpower them -- if you tap fast enough. Once their guard is down, you can tap in three hot spots on their body to land combos. If you don't deal enough damage to defeat them, their guard will come back up and you'll have to repeat.
Recognizable Jedi from the prequels are here like Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu. We'll also be able to control faces like Anakin's padawan learner, a young girl named Ahsoka Tano. The primary villains are new protagonists called the Night Sisters. Each level begins with a 3D cut scene voice acted by talent from the series. Both cut scenes and in-game action unfold on the bottom screen while the top acts as our HUD."
The Man Who Shot Luke Skywalker Posted By Dustin on August 27, 2008: Many of you probably don't know Photographer Kim Simmons, but you will recognize his photography of vintage and modern Star Wars collectibles. He has opened up a website right here where you can now order prints and posters of his nostalgic photography so many of us grew up with over the years. We (The Ohio Star Wars Collectors Club) had Kim as a VIP guest at this year's Summer Social and I must say the prints he has are amazing to see first hand!
