More On The Karen Miller and Karen Traviss SW Novels

Posted By Paul on March 9, 2008

A little more info has surfaced on the new Star Wars novel(s) being written by Karen Miller—and, indirectly, this may tell us something about the new Karen Traviss novels as well.

The main news comes from the GateWorld Stargate forum, where Stargate novellist Sonny Whitelaw posted a congratulation to Miller, who's her colleague in that franchise.

The interesting thing is this. She says that Miller "is partnering with Karen Traviss on a new Star Wars novel".

This makes it sound as if the two Karens, Miller and Traviss, are co-writing. If so, then "Untitled K. Traviss 1" due in May, and November's "Untitled K. Miller 1" may be the two books of the duology Miller mentioned, in the message that disappeared from her blog

This makes sense, inasmuch as Miller and Traviss do know each other, as pointed out by TF.N message-boards poster patchworkz7.

Thanks to Jaymach, Star Wars fan and admin at the Stargate wiki for the GateWorld link.

Update: in the original version of this story, we reported that Sonny Whitelaw was a real-world friend of Karen Miller. We've now been told that, while they have mutual friends, they've never met in person, and the story has been corrected accordingly.
