Karen Traviss Novel News Posted By Paul on March 23, 2008
The indefatigable Eddie van der Heijden from Once Upon a Galaxy has contacted us again, with more news on the enigmatic upcoming book by Karen Travis.
You can read our previous stories about this book and its counterpart by Star Wars newcomer Karen Miller here, here and here.
What Eddie's spotted now is this: the Random House website's entry for the mysterious "Untitled K. Traviss 1" has changed from a trade paperback at $14 US to a hardcover at $20. The release date's still given as 29th July, and for now, "Untitled K. Miller 1", listed for 25th November, is still given as a trade paperback at $15 US.
Also, note that "Untitled K. Traviss 1" seems to be a different book from Order 66, the new Republic Commando novel, which is listed as a $27 hardcover with a release date of September 16th.
The earlier indications are that the Traviss and Miller novels are connected, and are Prequel-era. Beyond that, we don't really know much yet, but given that they seem to be outside the filled-up quota of the main contract, they're quite likely to be connected to another event in the franchise, perhaps the new Clone Wars CGI film and TV show.
We'll bring you more clarification as soon as we learn about it!
